As a clinical hypnotherapist with over a decade of experience, registered with the General Hypnotherapy Register (GHR), and with a background in nursing, I can assure you that the techniques I use are safe ethical, and effective (obviously I can't comment on safety of other hypnosis practitioners). My final comment on this is that clinical hypnotherapy (what … [Read more...] about Skeptical about hypnotherapy?

Hypnosis myths and a free audio download
It’s no secret that there are many misconceptions regarding hypnosis. None of it shows hypnotherapy in a positive light. So today I’d like to help reduce some of the misconceptions, starting with these 3 commonly spouted myths. 1. You are not asleep when you’re in hypnosis. You’re actually right at the junction where you’re asleep and awake. FYI you’re in this same state just as you wake up and just before you fall asleep. 2. You go into hypnosis many, many times in your day. For example, when you’re reading a really good book, watching a great TV show, and when you’re driving a familiar route. 3.
