Accessibility

Accessibility is important to us. Here what we can do for you.

This page is here to help you understand what to expect when visiting my sanctuary at Eastthorpe Hall. I know that everyone’s access needs are different, and it can make a huge difference to see a space before you arrive  – especially if you’re managing mobility issues, sensory sensitivities, anxiety, or simply prefer to plan ahead.

You’ll find a short video that walks you from the car park to my upstairs sanctuary, showing the usual route and an alternative route, along with any potential difficulties you might want to be aware of. My aim is to give you a clear, honest picture of the building and the journey through it, so you can decide what feels comfortable for you.

If you have specific access needs, or if there’s anything you’d like to check before booking, you’re always welcome to get in touch. I’ll do my best to accommodate you and make your visit as straightforward and calm as possible.

Accessibility at Hypnotic Universe

I aim to make my Hypnotherapy and Mind Spa sessions as accessible as possible for people with different needs, including those with hearing or sight difficulties, neurodevelopmental conditions, chronic health issues, and anyone who benefits from a calmer, more structured environment.

Hearing Support

Sessions can be adapted for clients with hearing loss. This may include clearer pacing, written summaries, or visual prompts where helpful. If bespoke captioned videos or individually edited materials are required, additional charges may apply to cover the specialist time involved. I’ll always discuss this with you beforehand so you know exactly what to expect.

Sight Support

For clients with low vision or blindness, sessions can include verbal orientation to the room, clear step‑by‑step guidance, and optional written materials in accessible formats. You’re welcome to bring a support person if needed, or I can act as your sighted-guide, right from the waiting room to the sanctuary – and back.

Neurodevelopmental Considerations

Clients with ADHD, autism, sensory sensitivities, or other neurodevelopmental differences are welcome. Sessions are structured, predictable, and paced in a way that supports nervous‑system regulation. You can request adjustments such as reduced sensory input, clearer transitions, or extra time to settle.

Mobility & Health Needs

The sanctuary at Eastthorpe Hall is quiet, temperature‑controlled, and designed to be a calm space for those managing chronic pain, fatigue, or health‑related limitations. If you need extra time to get settled or prefer a particular seating arrangement, just let me know. If pain is present when you arrive for your session please let us know so we can do our best to make you comfortable. We can offer sessions with a break for you to get up and walk around, if you could let us know at the time.

Support Persons

You’re welcome to bring a support person or carer to any session. Please let me know in advance so I can make space for them.

If You Need Something Specific

If you have an access need that isn’t listed here, I’m always happy to discuss what’s possible. Some adjustments are simple and included at no extra cost. Others may require additional time or specialist work, and I’ll always be transparent about this before anything is agreed.

Walk-through Video: Car Park to the Sanctuary

I understand how decent imaging can really help reduce anxiety about how manageable a place will be. It often feels like you have to do a ridiculous amount of digging, to find out how accessible somewhere is for you. I’m a big fan of the saying “a picture is worth a thousand words”. So here is a walk-through of the route between the car park and Hypnotic Universe & the Mind Spa sanctuary.

I hope that helps those of you with additional accessibility needs. If you have any questions, please do get in touch. Likewise, we’d love to know if we can add anything to this page, in order to help you better.
