The 54321 model
Our 54321 kits are based on the 5-4-3-2-1 grounding model. This is a grounding technique designed to help manage anxiety and bring your focus back to the present moment. It’s a simple yet effective exercise that engages all five of your senses. Here’s how it works:
When you feel anxiety, an overwhelming emotion, or even just stressed, find:
- 5 things you can see: Identify five things in your surroundings that you can see.
- 4 things you can touch: Notice four things you can physically touch, focusing on their texture and how they feel.
- 3 things you can hear: Pay attention to three things you can hear, whether they’re near or far.
- 2 things you can smell: Identify two things you can smell, whether they’re nearby or something you can remember.
- 1 thing you can taste: Think of one thing you can taste, like a piece of gum or a sip of water.
Some individuals may find that temporarily blocking one of their senses, like sight or hearing, can actually enhance their ability to ground themselves using the other senses. For example, closing your eyes might help you better focus on the sounds around you, or putting on noise-cancelling headphones could help you concentrate on what you see and feel.

Our 54321 grounding kits contain items that stimulate – or block – certain sense. Some are more comprehensive than others, so please do read each kit description. These kits can be a handy way to practice the 54321 method when you need some additional support to stay grounded and calm.

In the box
This kit aims to provide multiple items to stimulate or block each sense. It is supplied in a hand made box featuring original artwork, making it perfect for gifting. Kit typically contains:
- Bubble dripper keychain – Watch soothing pink and blue droplets drop serenely into a pool at the bottom of the container.

Presentation and packaging
