Chronological development of our business
2013 – Louise & Andrew Franks created Mirfield Hypnotherapy Centre. offering clinical hypnotherapy from the comfort of our home office. During this time, both qualified with a diploma in clinical hypnosis and a practitioner level qualification in Emotional Freedom Technique.
2013 to 2018 – Both Louise and Andrew saw clients from their home office, achieving excellent results and learning all the time.
2019 – Well, Covid arrived and social distancing led to closure of our business for over a year. We researched what tools were available for us to be able to offer hypnotherapy once more. Since our clients were now often from overseas, we rebranded our business to reflect that, becoming Hypnotic Universe.
2023 – After a decade of working in their home office, Louise moved into the new Eastthorpe Hall Wellness Centre and Andrew took a step back as Louise took on more roles. Later in 2023, Louise achieved Practitioner level registration with the GHR (General Hypnotherapy Register) and the CNHC (Complimentary & Natural Healthcare Council). We also began training a UK based hypnotherapist to create some products for our store and there is now a possibility that a local hypnotherapist can create some store items, whilst also working on her niche. More on those later.
About Our Team
Louise Franks (SQHP, GHR Reg)
- We are proud to introduce you to Louise, our programme developer and senior hypnotherapist. She is the creative force behind our successful programmes, such as The Slimming Guru, Confidence Rocket and Student Success.
- Louise has a strong background in health, with diplomas in Adult Health (1996) and Child Health (2000) from University of Bradford, UK. She loves working with people and helping them achieve their goals. Her specialist topic is pain management.
- She is also a qualified hypnotherapy tutor and the founder of our hypnotherapy training programme and many other valuable hypnotherapy practice development tools.
- Louise is a fun-loving person who likes to visit theme parks and have days out with her dog, Luna.

Andrew Franks
We are delighted to introduce you to Andrew, Louise’s husband and a vital member of our team. He has played a significant role in establishing Mirfield Hypnotherapy Centre and developing our larger hypnotherapy programmes, especially those that involve more resources, scale or duration.
Andrew is an adventurous person who loves to travel to new places and discover different cultures. He also likes to visit theme parks, such as Alton Towers and Legoland Windsor. Andrew enjoys planning and spending fun days out, especially with his dog, Luna.
