Our Team
Louise Franks (CNHC registration CNHC08322 | GHR registration 9675)
We are proud to introduce you to Louise, our programme developer and senior hypnotherapist. She is the creative force behind our successful programmes, such as The Slimming Guru, Confidence Rocket and Student Success.
Louise has a strong background in health, with diplomas in Adult Health (1996) and Child Health (2000) from University of Bradford, UK. She loves working with people and helping them achieve their goals. Her specialist topic is pain management.
She is also a qualified hypnotherapy tutor and the founder of our hypnotherapy training programme and many other valuable hypnotherapy practice development tools.
Andrew Franks
We are delighted to introduce you to Andrew, Louise’s husband and a vital member of our team. He played a significant role in establishing our first hypnotherapy business (Mirfield Hypnotherapy Centre). Andrew is an adventurous person who loves to travel to new places and discover different cultures. He also likes to visit theme parks, such as Alton Towers and Legoland Windsor. Andrew enjoys planning and spending fun days out, especially with his dog, Luna.
Amanda Davey
Amanda has recently joined our team and is based in Kent, UK. Currently, she is focusing on creating products for our store, such as e-books and scripts.

Our History
2012 – Our business was actually created over a decade ago, by Louise & Andrew Franks during the completion of their diplomas in clinical hypnosis. Initially, we were known as Mirfield Hypnotherapy Centre (MHC) and operated from our home office.
2020 – Covid saw us close for an entire year, before the correct infrastructure became available to re-open safely. A few months later, we were gaining more and more enquiries from overseas, so we started thinking about how best to take our business onto the global stage. Hence, Hypnotic Universe was born.
2023 – We moved out of our home office, which had served us well for an entire decade; moving into Eastthorpe Hall, a former award-winning health spa in the centre of Mirfield. As our local clients were still looking for us under our original name, we decided to resurrect our old business name, Mirfield Hypnotherapy Centre (local business activities) which will run alongside our new name, Hypnotic Universe (online activities).
