What are the Sessions?
These are guided relaxation taster sessions, designed to help you unwind, re-balance and gently breathe again. It’s not therapy. It’s just a calm, structured space to rest your nervous system with supportive guidance, peaceful cues and sensory grounding. No pressure, no probing – just quiet time for your mind and body.
Who are the Sessions For?
Anyone feeling overwhelmed, overthinking, emotionally tired or just in need of a proper pause. You don’t need to know how to meditate or “switch off”. You simply come as you are and let the space do the rest! Or, perhaps you’re curious about what goes on at these sessions – and this is the perfect time to find out.
What are the Benefits of Guided Relaxation Sessions?
The benefits are as varied as the people who attend the sessions, but attendees often report the following:
- Feel emotionally lighter – Less caught in loops of overthinking or internal noise
- Feel more grounded – A felt sense of stability and presence, especially after busy or reactive weeks
- Feel mentally clearer – A natural softening of brain fog, without needing to “do” anything
- Be more physically settled – Lower muscle tension, steadier breathing, and fewer jitters
- Be more connected with yourself – A quiet re-connection with personal rhythm, needs, and boundaries
- Feel able to exhale again – A simple but powerful moment to reset the nervous system
Who’s Leading the Sessions?
I’m Louise – a hypnotherapist and relaxation specialist with a nursing background and years of experience helping people feel calmer, safer, and more themselves.
While I’m also a clinical hypnotherapist, these sessions aren’t hypnotherapy and they’re certainly not about probing the mind. My experience helps create gentle, secure sessions where people can relax fully, without judgement or expectation.
If you’ve heard of hypnotherapy and thought “that’s not for me,” please know: these sessions are not hypnotherapy. You won’t be “put under,” analysed, or expected to “perform”. Instead, you’ll be guided kindly into rest – with sensory cues and moments designed simply to soothe your mind and body. That’s it.
Where are the Sessions Held?
My regular scheduled sessions take place at Eastthorpe Hall in Mirfield, West Yorkshire. It’s a beautifully calm, naturally lit studio tucked away from the rush of the world. Quiet, soft and welcoming – no clinical lights or ticking clocks. Just a comfortable space where rest comes first.
When do Sessions Run?
Our current session times are:
- Mon – Fri 10am
- Mon – Thu 7pm
- Selected Sundays
How Much Does It Cost?
Our regular scheduled sessions are normally £25, though I occasionally run 2 For 1’s and other promotions.
How do I Book?
Please check availability and book a regular scheduled session here.
View and book our special events here.
What Should I Wear?
Wear something you can sit or lie down in without feeling restricted. Think yoga pants or joggers and t-shirts if that’s how you’d normally feel most comfortable. I’m not going to stop you selecting a cocktail dress, if that’s your jam, but you will need to be able to get onto a bed or low chair.
What If I Have Specific Mobility or Sensory Needs?
I’d love to discuss these with you to make sure I can meet them before you book, but also to keep you comfortable on the day. I’m happy to arrange priority seating, but I need to know, to avoid over-booking resources on the day. Please note that our studio is up a flight of stairs – an alternative, lower gradient staircase is available on request. This is split into 3 sections. Regardless of which staircase is travelled, it’s in your own time. Unfortunately, a lift is not available. However, there is space to leave mobility aids such a mobility scooters downstairs.
If you have specific sensory needs, please get in touch.
