This script aims to get across the general idea about how Parts Therapy works, using the example of dermatillomania. This is not a “typical” script in so much that you will not be able to deliver it “as-is” to your client. Rather, it provides a model, which you can apply to your own clients, working through issues as they arise. The script also works well when adapted to reduce other unwanted habits.

The script works best when paired with some up-front work to help the client envision themselves as recovered and some general work is carried out to boost confidence and self-esteem.

We find Parts Therapy when the client is a little deeper into hypnosis. As always, start with appropriate induction and deepeners.
